What are Subscriptions?

Subscriptions are recurring payment orders. Once you set one up, PLAI will automatically charge your saved payment method (e.g. your debit card or credit card) at the agreed interval – usually monthly.

  • Subscriptions are ideal for membership fees or ongoing charges.
  • You can cancel a subscription at any time.
  • Clubs benefit from predictable income, while members don’t need to remember to make manual payments.
What is the Wallet?

Your Wallet is a top-up account in the PLAI app. You can add money into it and then use those funds to pay for things like:

  • Ad hoc (non recurring) Club Payments
  • Match Fees
  • Club Kit or Merchandise from your team shop
  • Other one-off club payments

Every user has their own Wallet, and parents can manage payments for multiple children from one account. Your Wallet also keeps a full payment history.

Important Things to Know
  • Wallet funds cannot be used to pay for your recurring & automated club subscriptions.
  • Subscriptions are always collected separately via your primary registered debit or credit (just like your Netflix subscription!).
  • Mistaken top-up? If you added money to your Wallet by mistake (for example, if you meant it to cover your next subscription debit), please email support@plaisport.com. Our team can help reverse the amount. Wallet refunds take 10-14 days processing and will be minus a 4.4% administrative charge.
  • Alternatively, you can use your Wallet balance to buy something else, such as kit from your team shop!
Example
  • A club charges £10 per month for membership.
  • You set up a Subscription – your card is automatically charged £10 every month.
  • Separately, you add £20 to your Wallet. That £20 can be used for match fees or kit purchases, but it will not be used for your £10 subscription.
