Activating your club shop on PLAI is a critical step to enable online payments, manage transactions, and streamline your club’s financial operations. This guide will walk you through the exact steps needed to connect your bank account and start accepting payments.

If Your Club Already Has a Stripe Account

  1. Open PLAI, enter your TEAM PAGE and swipe across to the SHOP tab.
  2. Click the SETTINGS cog ⚙️ within your SHOP TAB and select CONNECT BANK ACCOUNT.
  3. Click + CONNECT STRIPE at the bottom of the screen.
  4. Enter your STRIPE LOG IN credentials where prompted. You may have to enter a six-digit SMS code to verify your log-in.
  5. If prompted, select your CLUB ADDRESS from the list (go straight to step 12 below). Alternatively, select CREATE A NEW BUSINESS (and go to step 6 below).
  6. Input your BUSINESS LOCATION (Club Location) & TYPE OF BUSINESS (Individual/Sole Trader). Click CONTINUE.
  7. Input your FIRST NAME, SURNAME, EMAIL ADDRESS, DOB, HOME ADDRESS, and PHONE NUMBER. Click CONTINUE.
  8. If prompted, VERIFY WITH PHOTO ID. Alternatively, you can SKIP FOR NOW and upload to Stripe at a later date.
  9. Select OTHER MEMBERSHIP ORGANISATIONS as your INDUSTRY. Add your WEBSITE and enter Community Sports Club as your PRODUCT DESCRIPTION. Click CONTINUE.
  10. Enter your BANK ACCOUNT INFORMATION. Click CONTINUE.
  11. Enter your CLUB NAME as the STATEMENT DESCRIPTOR and a shortened version as your SHORTENED DESCRIPTOR (optional). Enter a phone number for CUSTOMER SUPPORT and choose whether to SHOW or NOT SHOW on receipts. Click CONTINUE.
  12. REVIEW the information, action any RED BOXES (if relevant) and once complete, click AGREE AND SUBMIT.

If Your Club Does Not Have a Stripe Account

  1. Open PLAI, enter your TEAM PAGE and swipe across to the SHOP tab.
  2. Click the SETTINGS cog ⚙️ within your SHOP TAB and select CONNECT BANK ACCOUNT.
  3. Click + CONNECT STRIPE at the bottom of the screen.
  4. Enter your EMAIL ADDRESS and CREATE A PASSWORD where prompted. You may be asked to enter a PHONE NUMBER and VERIFY via SMS at this stage.
  5. Select CREATE A NEW BUSINESS.
  6. Input your BUSINESS LOCATION (Club Location) & TYPE OF BUSINESS (Individual/Sole Trader). Click CONTINUE.
  7. Input your FIRST NAME, SURNAME, EMAIL ADDRESS, DOB, HOME ADDRESS, and PHONE NUMBER. Click CONTINUE.
  8. If prompted, VERIFY WITH PHOTO ID. Alternatively, you can SKIP FOR NOW and upload to Stripe at a later date.
  9. Select OTHER MEMBERSHIP ORGANISATIONS as your INDUSTRY. Add your WEBSITE and enter Community Sports Club as your PRODUCT DESCRIPTION. Click CONTINUE.
